Overview

Your Legal Education Portfolio is a record of your professional training and continuing legal education. This record is maintained by you and can be also updated by law firms and other organisations who employ you, and who provide you with training, or who require the information to meet legislative, regulatory or business requirements.

The information stored in your Legal Education Portfolio is your personal information.

You may choose to share this information with your employer or a law society to simplify record keeping and reporting, but it remains your information. If you choose to stop sharing your Legal Education Portfolio, updates and changes are no longer visible to that organisation.

Updating Your Records

Your legal education portfolio contains your complete record of CLE and CPD.Legal Education also allows you to record information about your legal qualifications, professional and specialist accreditation and continuing CPD and CLE  education.

Sharing Your Records

You can share the information in your Legal Education Portfolio with your law firm or employer, or with any organisation that provides legal training, or indeed your law society.

Organisations you share your Legal Education Portfolio with, may use this information to assist them develop your own professional and ongoing training arrangements, and also provide appropriate evidence to satisfy organisational and regulatory requirements for your practicing certificate or ensure obligations the practice have in relation to their professional indemnity insurance are met.

Notifications

Each month you will receive Learned Friend a personalised newsletter detailing

  • Activities recorded in your Legal Education Portfolio in the last month
  • A summary of the legal continuing education you have accrued over the measurement period.
  • A list of upcoming activities, based on your preferences

Your account can be configured to notify you as training becomes available, when events are scheduled which you have expressed an interest in attending, or when the the closing date for the activity approaches.
